Maple Ridge’s Town Centre becomes a festive gathering place for “Celebrate the Night” that marks Halloween and seasonal cultural celebrations on October 28. This free, family friendly festival transforms Memorial Peace Park into a magical night wonderland with lanterns, lighting, art installations, music, puppets, dance, pumpkin carving, storytelling, crafts, games, costume parade and much more. This year’s theme will honor Diwali and First Nations. The evening’s finale is a fireworks display on top of The ACT Arts Centre! Join us for a unique cultural experience and complete the year long Canada 150+ celebrations.
Rangoli Folk Art – create colourful patterns and good luck symbols with coloured rice and sand.
Diwali Fest Dance Performances : Bollywood, Indian Classical & Folk dances
Ramayana Shadow Puppet Show – an adaptation of the ancient Hindu Sanskrit epic.
Count Down to Fireworks at 7:05pm with Dignitaries and Guests including singer Madison Oleschak .
