Maryam is a third-year student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and is focused on pursuing her BBA whilst retaining a passion for volunteering and engaging with her community. She is excited to work with others and make a difference by actively engaging with and bridging the gap between diverse groups. She also volunteers at her university’s MSA where she creates awareness via student connection events. Maryam’s goals for DiwaliFest are to expand public understanding of different cultures whilst increasing her own knowledge by helping to create a comfortable and entertaining celebration that everyone can enjoy.
