Pavneet Singh Kochhar

Indian-born, Singapore and U.S.-educated, and now a proud Canadian resident, Pavneet brings a unique blend of global experience and cultural depth to everything he does. He holds a joint PhD in Information Systems from Singapore Management University and Carnegie Mellon University, and currently works as a Data Scientist in Big Tech.

Beyond the world of technology, Pavneet is deeply passionate about arts, culture, and music. He founded his university’s Bhangra team in Singapore, which went on to win several competitions across Southeast Asia. Over the years, he and his team have performed at major cultural festivals, including Diwali Fest, Colour Fest, and Namaste Canada. Pavneet loves playing Dhol and has brought energy and rhythm to events such as Holi, Diwali, the Vancouver Fireworks Festival, Vancouver Pride Parade, and more.

From the rugged peaks of Patagonia to the turquoise lakes of Canada, from the bustling streets of Delhi to the serene temples of Bali and Cambodia, Pavneet is a true wanderer at heart—forever chasing stories, cultures, and breathtaking landscapes around the globe.

He is active in his community as a mentor to students and professionals, an interfaith dialogue participant, and a passionate educator.
